Wow, Situation! was created through our long-term Erasmus+ partnership with partner organisations and youth educators across Europe. Aimed at ages 14+, this board game offers a safe, playful space to practise communication, manage conflict, and find win‑win solutions.
Players draw real-life inspired situation cards, secretly choose a communication strategy, then vote with two tokens:
Top-voted strategies score points and may be acted out in short role-plays, followed by group reflection on what worked and why. This cycle of choice, play, and reflection helps players see situations from different perspectives and practise empathy, active listening, respectful discussion, and creative problem-solving in a low-pressure setting.
The game ends when a player reaches the finish and becomes “Master of Communication,” but the true value is the conversations and skills gained.
