Created as part of our long-term Erasmus+ partnership, Wow, Situation! is a board game designed for young people aged 14+ to explore communication, conflict, and win-win solutions in a playful and safe environment.
The goal of the game is simple — to learn effective communication through real-life inspired situations that can be awkward, challenging, or even uncomfortable.

Players are invited to look at the same situation from different perspectives, choose communication strategies, and see which ones others find the most constructive — or the funniest.
How does it work?
Players draw situation cards, secretly choose communication rules they believe fit best, and then vote using two tokens:

  • 👍 Like — for rules that help maintain relationships and lead to win-win communication
  • 😂 Fun — for the most creative or humorous approach

The rules that receive the most votes earn points — and the chance to be played out in a short role-play, followed by group reflection.

The game ends when someone reaches the finish of the board and earns the title of "Master of Communication" — but the real value is in the conversations that happen along the way.
Why this game matters:
  • Builds communication and empathy skills
  • Encourages respectful discussion and active listening
  • Uses humor as a learning tool
  • Creates space for reflection without judgment
  • Turns difficult conversations into learning moments

We’re proud to see how this game supports learning through play and helps young people practice skills they can take straight into real life.

The game was developed as a part of Erasmus+ KA210 Project “RuleCraft: Gamified Learning for Rule” (2024-1-EE01-KA210-YOU-000250968), supported by Estonian National Agency.

Project partners: MTÜ Eriline Maailm (Estonia), EFICAZ E OPORTUNO (Portugal), IIF - International lnclusion Foundation gGmbH (Germany).
