Vadim MatveevDirector of the Jornada Association
A facilitator and trainer on key topics of civic education, the founder of Clarity School, a private primary school in Lisbon, entrepreneur, and coordinator of civic education projects. For 7 years, Vadim worked as a trainer and facilitator at the Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg, Robert Bosch Foundation. Since 2024, he has been the Regional Coordinator of Bosch Alumni in Portugal. Vadim has worked as a trainer with children and youth from Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus within programs covering such topics as historical memory, democratic participation, social design, anti-discrimination, tolerance, and sustainable development.
Author of the "Games in Civic Education" project. Winner of the "Best Online Practices in Civic Education 2021" competition organized by the Eastern European Network for Civic Education. -
Miguel AfonsoFrom Portugal, Miguel works with two environmental non-governmental organizations as an environmental monitor and educator. He works with diverse groups to promote environmental stewardship and literacy.
With experience in youth mobility programs covering diverse topics, Miguel brings expertise in project ideation, communication, and dissemination.
Honored to be part of Jornada, Miguel is committed to expanding his knowledge in youth work and is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities and initiatives for youngsters and beyond. -
Natalia PetrovaNatalia graduated from Moscow State University and continued her studies at the Moscow Architectural Institute, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art and Columbia University in the city of New York.
She has worked as a communication and event manager, PR specialist, curator and producer, with a strong focus on cultural and civic initiatives.
Natalia is a curator of the online World Art and Memory Museum and serves as Regional Coordinator for France within the Bosch Alumni Network. -
Daria GartsmanDaria is an experienced project manager specializing in international educational and cultural initiatives. She has successfully organized Erasmus+ training courses, youth exchanges, and activities focused on sustainability and nature conservation. Daria works with both commercial and non-profit projects, bringing together professionals from diverse fields to exchange ideas and develop sustainable solutions. She firmly believes that education is the key to making the world a better place, excelling in coordinating multidisciplinary programs and managing cross-sectoral teams.

MEDIA MINDS
Media Minds is an Open Semester on Media Literacy taking place in Lisbon and Oeiras.
The initiative promotes media and digital literacy among teachers, parents, and children through open events, creative learning tools, and collaborations with schools and NGOs. It builds a community that learns to think critically, recognize misinformation, and use digital tools responsibly.

STUDY TOUR
The Study Tour (October 8-11, 2025) explored AI in education, featuring discussions at NOVA University, insights from Microsoft Portugal on digital education, and a visit to Clarity International School showcasing innovative learning tools.

PEER LEARNING LAB
The Peer Learning Lab explores how AI transforms education, balancing innovation with ethics. Through expert talks, peer discussions, and a study tour, participants will develop AI literacy, ethical frameworks, and practical strategies for human-centered learning. The Lab fosters lasting collaboration across the Bosch Alumni Network.
The Peer Learning Lab explores how AI is transforming education and civic life. Building on insights from the AI and Education Forum, the project offers a series of interactive webinars throughout June 2025 (one session per week), combining expert talks and peer-to-peer discussions.
Key topics will include ethical AI integration, bias mitigation, and AI’s role in personalized and civic education.
In October 2025, selected participants from Bosch Alumni Network will take part in a Study Tour to Lisbon, visiting innovation hubs, schools, and tech spaces applying AI in education.

Youth Exchange "JORNADA VERDE"
Youth exchange Jornada Verde happened in Setubal 11-17 April 2025. There were 20 participants - 10 from Portugal and 10 from Slovenia.
What was in the program: hiking & nature activities, Lisbon city quest, team-building & international games, fun workshops on ecology and sustainability. These are some highlights from participants:
"Our exchange week started with arriving at the villa where we got to know the place and each other, at the same time our friends from Slovenia were flying in to join us.
On the second day, after an interesting tour of Lisbon, we split into groups and went to see interesting places such as the famous bookstore located in the old building and factories. Surfing and beach cleaning activities took place on the third day. Favorite activity of our participants. The next day we hiked and visited eco-friendly sites in Arrabida Park and Biovilla. On the fifth day, the day of reflection and final goodbyes, the girls from Slovenia decided to make us pancakes using a special recipe with Bozok flowers
There were many creative people in our collective, so in the evenings we often gathered and sang to the guitar. One evening we prepared gifts from our countries to give to each other. We especially remembered the medenyaki from Slovenia"

Games in Civic Education
An online course on games that transform people and society; an overview of educational games on various topics of civic education: sustainable development, inclusion, human rights, historical memory, and more. Available in Russian. "Games in Civic Education" was the winner of the "Best Online Practices in Civic Education 2021" competition organized by the Eastern European Network for Civic Education.
Clarity School
In July 2023, we established a private primary school and educational center in Lisbon. We work with families who have moved to Portugal from other countries and are undergoing adaptation to the new country. We offer Portuguese and English courses, family events, meetings with interesting people, and explore Portuguese culture and traditions. This is a social entrepreneurship project. Critical Thinking
This project, aiming to develop critical thinking skills, is intended for educators, trainers, and educational program developers who want to incorporate critical thinking tools into their practice. We offer open webinars, courses, and develop a digital critical thinking handbook.
Civic Education Experts Meeting
In June 2023, we brought together well-known European experts in civic education to exchange experiences and create new projects aimed at developing critical thinking, legal literacy, tolerance, and social integration. Supported by the Bosch Alumni Network.
Out of the Box
"Escape room: Out Of The Box" is a strategic partnership project of non-profit organizations from four countries: Estonia, Lithuania, Germany, and Portugal. The project aims to teach youth workers, trainers, educators, and volunteers practical skills in working with such an informal education tool as Escape Rooms. We focus on using this tool with diverse and mixed groups to engage different youth groups in solving various social issues (e.g., social inclusion, human rights, bullying) through games and play. Supported by Erasmus+.
